Nice little ice cream shop in downtown Niles. There is a good selection of ice cream options and everything is reasonably priced. The ice cream itself was quite tasty. It was pretty busy though, but the line moves fast.
A cute lil spot on the corner of a very busy street. I've only ordered the Root Beer Float on my visits. Service is fast and kind. Prices are fair. Not a lot seating but on a beautiful day just walk outside and down the street and back.
Very good old school ice-cream parlour serving the classics. We got the brownie sundae with black cherry & heath krunch bar flavours and also a single scoop of chocolate chip on a waffle cone! Amazing icecream for sure & the brownie sundae was an indulgent & perfect dessert for the night. They also have other desserts like cupcakes and tarts but we didn't get any this time. They also let you do 2 flavour samples/person before you settle in on what you want.
I did not expect Niles Ice Cream to be so good. I was in the area on a hot day so what better way to cool off than to get ice cream. They have a large variety of flavors and always give you a humongous scoop. - Caramel Cashew - I don't even like caramel that much but I was a big fan of this ice cream. There was huge chunks of cashews in every bite and the caramel wasn't so overwhelmingly sweet. - Peanut Butter Fudge - I love how each flavor is so distinct and this peanut butter one is no different. I love how pervasive the peanut butter was and you can definitely taste the fudge (chunky) parts. Absolutely loved my experience here and am already thinking about what flavor to get next time. By the way, the line may seem long from the outside but it moves very quickly. My only complaint was that I wanted to sit inside the store but there was way too many flies.
Came here on a warm night. Totally forgot they serve Loards ice cream, which for those who know, it's some of the best manufactured ice cream around. Service was friendly and fast. Wife got hot fudge Sundae and I got Black and tan. Good portions ....$19 for both which isn't bad these days. We will be back soon
i heard the small town of niles is famous for their ice cream, so when i saw a line out the door for this shop, i had to try! it's a quaint, simply decorated shop that offers a decent selection of ice cream flavors (and sells pints too)! the cost is average with bay area prices (about $4-5 for a small scoop in a cup). they have several unique flavors, and i sampled a few: the bubblegum is crazy. i'm honestly not a fan of bubblegum itself anyway, but i've got to applaud their formula for mimicking the taste so closely. but, one small sample bite left my mouth with the (very) strong bubblegum aftertaste. so beware. i ended up getting a small cookies and cream in a cup, which is my go to. i usually judge an ice cream place by how they've mastered their classics (in my opinion, to be a credible dessert place, this is non-negotiable! you've got to nail down the classics). and i was pleasantly surprised. there was a decent oreo to vanilla ice cream ratio (with a decent ratio favoring oreo chunks, woohoo!), and the scoop left me feeling satisfied. cookies and cream craving satisfied! i will say the flavors are on the sweeter end. be sure to stop and sample their unique flavors, and get a taste of nile's special ice cream!!
Niles Ice Cream was a small, seemingly family-run dessert spot that serves Loard's Ice Cream as well as other treats like pies and cupcakes. After sampling a few of their flavors, I found that all of them were pretty thick, creamy, and on the sweeter side. I went with the Blackberry Raspberry Marble in a waffle cone (extra cost). I personally liked how thick and creamy the flavors were (more to "chew" in a sense and filling), but out of the four I sampled, none provided that fruity kick I was looking for (then again, that's preference, and that seems to be the style of ice cream from Loard's). The "Fruit Crisp" pie had a nice, crunchy topping, but the inside felt like a syrupy (kinda thin), but thankfully tangy cherry filling. The place itself was pretty bare but clean. Service was great!
This is cozy little ice cream shop in a lovely little town. On a warm day like today, they had a line which moved quickly because they were well staffed. And the staff was friendly! The restaurant was clean and they had adequate seating inside and out. The ice cream was so yummy! I devoured my whole cone.
